DORCAS... (The Character of Hope for Every Girl Child and Children World-Over).

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs twenty-two verses six.

Don't we love to see the Dorcas in every girl as she grows to become the Character Dream?

Dare to explore only good deed and see how much love and ecstasy you will derive to attempt much more. I tell my acquaintances to strive to explore only good works so that you can learn or loan (lessons from experiences) because the bad is nothing but a deduction that is never needed.

It is interesting that the fruits of goodness are hungered for but not everyone consciously engages in activities that produce such fruits. It is false to think you are so deprived not to have any tangible trade to contribute to humanity. No sect should be identified with associates of not only selfish desires but poor minds not willing to duly invest and wait on harvesting in due time and season.

The worthy Dorcas as recorded in the Bible had colossal control of her environment maintaining her admirable moral standards of offering help within her capacity to the widows. At this moment I realized how long-standing the idea of erecting foundations had been. In this time, we can relate to the story that Dorcas had a well-modeled foundation for widows tending to their concerns in graceful measures.

She chose to attend to these people because she had a feel of what these women were faced with on a daily basis, she was knowledgeable to know that some were confronted with dreadful thoughts of vague future, skepticism of shelter, food, and clothing. Some had themselves stripped of hope and left with the emptiness of societal validation religious marginalization and intimidation coupled with overwhelming traditional impediments. The ability to respond to these huge concerns rested on the shoulders of just one woman. No line amplified her sex instead to date her capacity is eulogized world-over with generations of testifiers.

Losing your head which signifies sense of direction is seen even in perilous times where the love of many to their Source Christ and mankind is organically getting lost in the midst of cheap emotions, temporal gratification, strife and challenges. Dorcas was factored in God’s plan to redeem the women; her deeds endeared her to them to exude the Glory of God upon her life.

The Girl Child is empowered from birth to be more of a doer and less of a talker likewise every child “girl or boy”. Dorcas gave her all to the community and her foundation of the fullness of treasures of wealth, knowledge, wisdom and grace in Christ Jesus. She was conscious of her spiritual head to recommend to these women in need. She was influential so much that it took every one’s effort to beseech the apostle to raise her back to keep up her good works. 

Today 27^th May is another CHILDREN’S DAY, the 2019 version here portrays the character of hope; the character of Dorcas which resides in every girl and every child. It can be discovered, developed and deployed for others to gain the right direction. Have we as individuals, societies, families and nations watched our Dorcas die in anguish, unfulfillment, dissatisfaction, lack of empowerment, insecurity, deprivation and not having opportunities to harness their abilities and get off limitations.

Again, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs twenty two verses six. The Bible Book of life and Eternity template enjoin us to “train” every child in the right direction, in the way designed and destined supernaturally to fit God’s designs for every child. To train isn’t any rocket science, to train requires responsibility, a sequence, a structural plan to influence the graphics and image of Godly character and it begins now. Like the writer asks, what kind of man would you want to be tomorrow? from a caption article “OPEN LETTER to the Boys that Would Become Men; The writer further conveyed by saying; I know, I know, you are probably 3 years old or 5 or 10 and asides food and video games, you couldn’t be bothered. But can you maybe try to imagine the kind of man you could be in 10 years, 15years?

Let me add up here, what kind of Men are you raising the Boys to be and what kind of Women are you raising or training the Girls to be or become? While they have today’s moment, massive fun and jumping on a bouncing castle or eating probably their best favourite meals and drinks, face paints play roughly with acquaintances and all, take time out later today before sleep to remind them the kind of Man or Woman you would want or desire him or her to become tomorrow, here I suggest a hint... “The Character of Hope”.

The utmost character of Dorcas is sincerely that of hope as seen in her story, and that is to show the Excellency of the word of God, the Glory of God, and the very desire of God by their character.

Teach the girl to be moderate in decorating her demeanor and in the trifling pursuits of life’s pleasures but significantly passionate about her vision to reveal the Glory of God to extend to her sphere of influence. Teach every child that life is all about influence and what or who influences, but we take the plus and let the negative off our hook to be truly “characters of hope” to our generation. 

Know your response, learn your ability. You are positioned to heal and lead people to Christ. By your abilities and influence, people connect to you to ultimately connect them to their source for Divine restoration of their lost Head. 

Acknowledge the Dorcas in the Girl and do not watch her unfulfilled.
