So, starting out with this article, I went in to peruse the internet to see people’s related searches as regards the closing year 2020. When a situation becomes an enigma in this current time, it is only natural to gather thoughts about the said topic over the internet. Like the thoughts of people across several works of life as regards this enigmatic year 2020. Interestingly, I was not surprised at the results I got, which I would list a few of them below. It felt like to some searchers they were getting feedbacks from the source with the cliché that the internet had all the answers.

The year will be over in no time but has got a lot of lessons enshrouded in it. The suspense in the year bedevilled all who thought it was going to be business as usual. Another millennium with its memories conscripted in the hearts of the global environs. The year had bespoke definitions to all and sundry but in all, taught us how similar our experiences are through the journey of life. Was this what some experiential characters meant in their words that express how endless our desires as men are and how temporal breath can be as a mist to deprive man of his multitudinous desires. "Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes". James 4:14 (NIV). 2020 revealed the practicality of the above text.
The year announced its audit infrastructure to ascertain the viability of every structure that had been designed for any form of service, be it private or public services. Homes, personal structures, religious structures etc. the scripture talks about the house that was founded upon a rock, a solid foundation and how that it would likely be exposed to unplanned circumstances in the form of rain and storms, and with the uncertainty of its severity but that the foundation was pre-considered to accommodate the highest form of turbulence by the wisdom of God. Bearing this illustration in mind we had all built in one way or the other at certain times and seasons with multifarious considerations of weather, government regulations, security, theft etc. these and much more with our list not exhaustive are the many considerations to building and securing our properties. However, in considering all of this, there are other factors not listed here and yet we do not have control over to change, overturn or negotiate with.
The year 2020 like a mighty rushing wind did not give many ample times to do some touch-up, refurbishing, and simply overhauling the leavening that had overwhelmed their structures. If you had a healthy culture of doing routine maintenance to identify defects and do some corrective maintenance, 2020 may have been a year of exploit but if you are like the other subjects that built without the nitty-gritty of these considerations, then the aftermath is what many so experienced other than the exploit. Well, I am glad to announce to the other that the events that unfolded revealed the weakness that had been comfortably protected with no measure of foundational integrity check. Some buildings were inherited with no vetting prior to the transfer of ownership. We all learnt in this closing year to not only build well I mean solidly but also entrust our building engineering and designs to the manufacturer of the best and most competent engineering and designs who is our Lord and Saviour. Some of us had glorious opportunities to reconnect with Him to reconstruct afresh at an already paid expense and to build again in different capacities and areas of our lives. Platforms were interestingly enacted to enrich the souls of people to learn all it takes to maintain and sustain healthy buildings...personally, in search of learning to glean on the inexhaustible understanding of the most competent designer, I stumbled on a few platforms that have reconnected me to the association of stewards of the systems and structures of the Kingdom of God.
Like a student, I had always wanted to explore the knowledge and understanding that abounds in pressing into God's will like an astronaut explores space. As different Lecturers are given similar responsibilities to lecture student to gain mastery in a topic or a course leaving the student with the choice of which lecturer’s expression best informs the student's decision to various assessments, it was fascinating to learn different dimension of God's numerous wisdom to glean knowledgeably. Pastor Buchi Thomas your continuous lecture and chastisement has opened me to the reality of life and consciousness to take responsibility even for posterity. This may suffice for a timely acknowledgement for my gains in 2020 regardless. The year was undoubtedly a year of revealing of our potential and capacity to afford an edifice with validated integrity in Christ. Would you partner with God to henceforth build with the understanding that He wants to prove His Might and Power in every area of your lives? He wants to build your life, family, children, business, career, ministry, generation, posterity etc.
If you do not trust the foundation upon which you were handed ownership to, you can trust God to rebuild again and rest assured of safety that God who engineered the design is in absolute control.
