THE MASKS

…When sincerity in revealing one’s true nature becomes the order of life, all you get is what is worthy of your identity and personality. 

The more challenges one is willing to accept, the more opportunities one is given to reveal one's nature, identity, and skill, to proffer solutions that will elevate one and unveil one to the world of greatness. This is well received by your true self; when all these lines hit the mask, it deludes you of maximum opportunities. There is no single duty to success, but a fact that, as rain and shine are both experienced by the wealthy and the less privileged, so are life’s random challenges thrown to all and sundry. But what makes the difference is the posture in which we are positioned to receive it and how we end up utilizing the challenges to our advantage.


A lot of times, we get thrown off balance from the tension of these unplanned challenges, and we resolve to shield these blows with an alter ego, thereby delaying development in certain areas of our lives. Every resource of heaven, the rain, sun, moon and all other creations, are all for his pleasure and have their unique purpose and timing to exude the grace and glory in them. And just like other creations, as humans designed in the magnificent Glory of God, we do have duties to behold on earth to affect our sphere. We can’t be effective in our designation when we are masked. Masking is a deceitful approach to life, and nothing really is accorded to a masked person because you are regarded innominate.


Unfortunately, not just individuals get to be masked to live through life and excuse themselves from the supposed challenges of life, but nations, societies, and institutions mask themselves professionally to hide their dubious intentions. People mask to obtain vain favour, corporations mask to obtain projects and not eventually keep to the terms and conditions because their intentions from the onset were never genuine. Marriages are highly masked in words, display of photos in social platforms, but only the masked know the real person(intention) behind it, and that alone is burdensome. It feels disheartening to only realize how separate, obscure worlds are being created for an uncomfortable habitat, with no one to identify with and help ease the tension arising from the happenings around. This, amidst others, is the likely reality of the masked.

If we are sincere enough, we recognize those quirky moments we got masked into pettiness, false happiness, validations, and team-ups, whereas we felt no sense of belonging and peace. Nothing felt real, the mask got it all; Got the hits, the loves, the challenge, the growth, it practically rips us of every opportunity to experience true transformation and unending growth to reveal the nature of Christ in us. The Christ that bore all the pain, the shame, refusing to mask himself, but endured all for the Glory ahead. There is a Glory ahead, for every hit you take for a good course on your identity. You can have 'good success' without being an impostor. You can be the best of yourself if you focus on the goal to reveal Christ, who never hides in you and in your field of influence. It is okay to cry as a cathartic experience; if the pain hurts really badly, it makes your tears visible to wipe. It is okay to be vulnerable; only then will His strength be made perfect in your vulnerabilities. It is okay to ask for help, “Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one travelling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations”. This is a huge task to filter through a mask. 


Being real for clarifications isn’t declaring the unwholesome state of your mind or proclaiming your weaknesses and giving it the power to overwhelm your nature in Christ. However, it is consciously positioning yourself in pursuit of God’s Vision for your life and deploying anointed words of positive declaration to aid the pursuit. Declare your identity in Christ, take off your mask and let God take absolute control of your emotions, relationships, family, career and Life.

We can uncover our identities now in Christ Jesus Only and be free from the limitations of being masked and isolated for damnation.

She can establish herself in what she enjoys doing and subsequently commercialize it On a summary note, permit me here to start this piece with an inspiring illustration to magnify my thoughts on BEcoming a Woman and not just a woman, but a woman of Competence and Courage. A man endured being in a situation as he supposed, where he was the only one working in the home. He barely noticed the little assistance the woman offered as a wife by doing home chores, taking good care of the kids, fixing meals on timely basis, washing and obviously fulfilling her marital duties. The husband could barely hide his dissatisfaction considering the fact that his wife isn't supporting financially.
