BECOMING A VIRTUOUS WOMAN

We have indeed found virtuous women already gaining ascendancy in their unique roles as kingdom takers. 

It is such a wonderful timing for this exhortation in this new month, of this new year and certainly this new day. Be Blessed and most of all become blessings to others as you feed on this realization.

The scripture reads “Who can find a virtuous woman?”,” for her price is far above rubies”. That would be our focal for this morning. Please resound this in your heart like you were in search of her too and get in here with your whole desires to find her in you.

This word gives us a handy template to locating and becoming that virtuous woman. Being virtuous is synonymous to exuding admirable strength, efficiency, ability, and credibility of character which is who you are becoming. It is what you represent within and outside your milieu. Character denotes firmness which comes from an unwavering spirit. In other words, she appeals to her maker as she desires to please Him, she is God Fearing and intentional in her pursuit of justice (righteousness).

How common is it to find such a woman? Ruth 3:11. An admirable indication that an entire city knew that she was firm in a Godly character; she was a virtuous woman. She was recognized and other women were blessed by this. I Need to emphasize that capacity building and impact isn’t new. She built so much capacity to sustain a strong character such as that and was revered by other women. Is that what is lacking in our world today? Have you found that virtuous woman? If you Can see these characters in you then we need not search further. It means people who don’t share the same rare values with you, will conclude that you are an alien because for God’s sake you are uncommon. We are encircled with people who are easily carried away and drained with several weights they permit, such as; distractions, emulations which tends to make them become morally weak and so anemic in character, so much so that it is evidently crystal when that woman steps in. I do believe that when that woman is finally revealed from within you, nothing will suffer shame. I mean not your home, community, association and your society will suffer because of the virtues you exude.

We understand the next phrase states that her price is far above rubies. An exciting way to measure her worth. I respect accolades, as in my opinion gives me an idea of one’s worth. But for this woman, I was lost in a bit when the rarest gem which amounts to fortune could not even connote her price.

Just a little education here. Rubies are precious stones (pearls) found in the sea. Very valuable and costly because they are so rare. If you want as many rubies and you can readily find it then you don’t have to pay a fortune for it, do you? Why do you find yourself working towards solving rare problems such as character building, heart transformation, winning souls to Christ, fending for the poor and much, well it is simply because your yearning is for eternity and you understand that your reward is far above what money can buy, far above rubies. Do you realize how nature makes common stones unattractive.

Rewind to my teenage days, there were these stones you would find everywhere. So common that, we used them to play, put them in dirt and abandon them, well that was all they were worth but each time we went to the stream and found a beautiful nameless pearl, only one; we would wash it, get a cloth for it just to show how much it was well appreciated. How many ideas have you neglected in your heart, ideas that could save your society from posterior impoverishment, simply because you thought carnally that they were rare and uncommon, not heard before, alien, just because you wanted to justify your petty gratification. Go for it because now you know the reward of such is far above rubies, the reward is for eternity, not vanity.

He made these stones yet beautiful, brilliant and lustrous. The virtuous woman is beautiful, but don’t search for this outwardly you may be disappointed but search inwardly because the character, patience, love is not tangible in terms of beauty yet very significant. She is rare and beautiful. I tell you today with every sense of conviction that as you read this, that you have read to this point, she is already finding her way out, she will find expression. She will find her voice, she will gain her integrity back, she will repent and she will be restored. She is you. She is becoming a woman(virtuous). She is sorting means to enrich her economy with her skills, her ideas, her vision, and together we are working to have as many women that would be identified by the world, community, home, society, and globe as “A VIRTUOUS WOMAN”.
